Secret Garden was designed while Cat was pregnant with her son, Liam. She wanted to design a pattern for his room that evoked the childhood she hoped he would have: full of outdoor adventures, bugs in pockets, discovering the beauty of nature. There are lots of hidden creatures in here, many of whom Cat remembers finding in her backyard as a kid.

Reducing the print to just three colors, we were able to re-approach Ladder and simplify it. This gives Simple Ladder a more graphic, less linear look suitable for different range of environments. We like them both.

Originally designed to compliment Folk Flight, Khokhloma Climber too summons the stylized motifs of Russian folk art. This pattern, with flowers fancifully climbing vertically across the material, is our notion of a stripe.
